Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary the oldest church in Gorzów Wielkopolski was erected at the end of 13th century.
The cathedral was built in line with the principles of Christian tradition – the altar is on the east side and the main entrance on the west side of the church.
The church emanates with Gothic architecture but certain elements of the Romanesque style can be found there as well.
The Jan Dekert Lubuskie Museum is the oldest museum in Lubuskie Province. It is located at 35 Warszawska Street in Gorzów Wielkopolski.
The building is representative of eclecticism, rare architectural style also known as the Berlin Neo-baroque.
Currently the villa houses the following permanent exhibitions: Pewterer, Treasures and Drawing Room.
The Henryk Siemiradzki Park was created between 1869 and 1908, and is located in close proximity to the center of Gorzow Wielkopolski, on the hills surrounding the Old Town.
The total area of the park is almost 10 hectares. It features, among other things, a magnificent viewing platform, an amphitheater and the so-called “Stairway to Nowhere.”
The vantage points offer a beautiful panorama of the entire city.
